1001 Tracklsists recently released their annual report ‘A State Of Dance Music’ for 2021. They are known as the biggest DJ tracklist platform. Like this, they have a plethora of data when it comes to who has played a track, how many times has it been played and more. This in turn has provided the information in this report that highlights some of the biggest releases over the 12 months in 2021.

What is refreshing with this report is nothing is fan-voted and is 100% data-driven. Some of the key stats highlighted from the report are that despite the ongoing pandemic there has been a record 6.8 million people using their platform. Over 69,000 individual tracklists were uploaded a 31% increase compared to the previous year.

The main stats that are showcased throughout the report are Top Genres, Top Tracks & Top Labels. Rising to the top of the genre chart was Tech House with 22% for the most DJ supported tracks, closely followed by Dance with 18%, then-House at 15% and Trance 9%.

Taking the top spot with the most supported track of 2021 was the viral smash ‘Do It To It’ by Acraze. This was helped by the viral Squid Games on Netflix. Moving onto the labels this was once again topped by Spinnin Records followed by Armada Music & Musical Freedom.

There are a wealth of other statistics available from most listened to the radio show and most viewed set. This is a real insight into the popular trends of 2021 and true insight if you are a dance music fan.
